When those ads for “I’m a Mac…and I’m a PC” started airing, no one knew that YouTube’s Web page would slow down dramatically due to the fact that it would be clogged with millions of parodies of those commercials. Here we are in 2009, and the parodies are still flying fast and furious. Luckily, there have been some great ones, mostly featuring superhero characters.
Bottom line: making fun of superheroes is one of our favorite pastimes. We’ve enjoyed watching superheroes dancing their super butts off in these videos, and got a big kick out of seeing hilarious images from the new “Spider-Man” movie. Now there’s a new Mac/PC parody ad featuring Green Lantern and Deadpool. The topic they’re taking up is Ryan Reynolds who is reported to play both characters in the movies. Who knew that the guy who starred in “Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place” would end up having such a prosperous movie career. We always thought he would be the subject of heartbreaking “E! True Hollywood Story.”
