Sure, his real name is Christopher Mintz-Plasse, but he’ll always be known as McLovin’. Perhaps if he wins a couple of Oscars, the name might wear off. But look at Sean Penn – some people still see him as Jeff Spicoli. Rob Reiner will always be remembered as Meat Head. Hugh Grant will always be remembered as the dude who cheats with a prostitute that looks like a tranny. Not exactly a nickname, but you get our point.
Keeping the McLovin’ character in mind is why this new video from Cinemash is so damn funny. The digital series lets celebrity talent mash up their favorite scenes from classic movies with hilarious results. In this episode, McLovin’ plays the evil Alonzo (Denzel Washington’s character) in his own take on “Training Day.” We’re just glad he didn’t do it in blackface. Cinemash is probably saving that trick for Michael Richards.
