The Room. It’s being called the best worst movie ever made. Up until now, the current king of bad movies was Troll 2. It’s a pretty bad film. Now there’s a new champion of bad movies. It was written and directed by its star, Tommy Wiseau, who is also credited on screen as both the movie’s producer and executive producer. The only thing that could make it worse would be if the film was in 3D like these other bad movies.
The Room is a San Francisco-set love triangle involving a banker named Johnny, his friend Mark, and Johnny’s fiancée Lisa, who is sleeping with both men. Those who’ve seen the film say the various subplots are inadequately resolved or simply disappear altogether. There are lengthy sex scenes that are laughable. The acting is just bad. It’s become such a cult film that when it screens at theaters, there are long lines and the shows are sold out. Here are some scenes from the movie with all the fine acting.
