Patton Oswalt is one of the finest standup comedians working today. Every show we’ve seen him at, he has absolutely killed. He provided the voice of Remy in the animated movie Ratatouille. Now comes the trailer for the movie Big Fan. We expected this to be a hilarious movie since Patton is a hilarious guy. Instead it’s a dark film and Patton show us his serious side. Not a comedy. But the trailer is still funnier than Robin Williams’ upcoming movie Old Dogs which bills itself as a comedy. But they forgot to include the comedy in the comedy. Here’s a look at the trailer for Big Fan.
The movie looks pretty damn good. We believe Larry the Cable Guy was up for the lead role in this dramatic film but then he realized he was Larry the Cable Guy. He was also turned down to play Harvey Milk.
Now for some funny stuff for a change, here’s a brief audio clip of Patton’s great standup routine as he talks about the Chipmunks Christmas song. This should be in the movie.
