The next installment of the Christopher Nolan-directed Batman movies won’t hit theaters until 2011 and that gives Christian Bale plenty of time to think about which person on the film crew he’ll yell at for no good reason. It also gives him time to perfect his super-rich deep voice when he’s in the Batman costume. He was taking voice lessons from Bea Arthur until she died recently.
The Nolan Batman movies have been very serious. Come on, it’s a guy in a costume. Why so much unnecessary anger, Batman? Is the whole sleeping upside down thing getting to you? Too much blood rushing to your head? Is it a gay thing? Come on, have some fun. Take director Sam Raimi, for instance. He had some fun with Spider-Man and there were laughs. We’re big fans of the 1960s Adam West Batmam series, and wouldn’t it be great if they did a new movie in that style? Say no more.
