You know Hollywood has officially run out of ideas when studio executive Michael Eisner hires a screenwriter for a planned feature-film adaptation of the “Bazooka Joe” bubblegum comic strip. Apparently they couldn’t get the rights to “Double Bubble.”
So what will a “Bazooka Joe” movie look like? If it’s anything like the gum, the film will lose its flavor after a few minutes. Still, they’re pushing ahead with the movie and we’re not even sure if kids even know “Bazooka Joe” as it was created in the 1950s.
