“Back to the Future” was inspired by the idea of traveling back in time to meet your parents when they were just teenagers. You can see a version of the movie every day on the Maury Povich show where young kids have kids and take DNA tests with their kids watching. “Back to the Future” was a pioneer in this field, a top box-office smash that has staying power.
