Accomplished director and conspiracy theorist nut job Oliver Stone (we’re still waiting for ‘The We Didn’t Land on the Moon’ movie) is reteaming with “Wall Street” star Michael Douglas for a sequel to their 1987 film. It turns out greed was bad, very bad. If you’re laid off right now, go to your window and yell “I’m as mad as hell and I’m not going to take it anymore…oh wait, is ‘Dancing with the Stars’ on tonight? I love that show. I guess I’m not that mad anymore. Mindless reality TV helps me forget the pain.”
Fox says the plot for the”Wall Street” sequel will be ripped from the headlines. Really? Or you telling us that the movie is going to a feature a Bernie Madoff-like character who is getting butt-loved in prison? Look out for that NC-17 rating. How about focusing on how most American families think it’s a big treat to have Ramen Noodles for dinner? Or how about going back a few years when banks were giving home loans to homeless people and 7-11 workers. Sure, they’ll be able to pay the mortgage.
Bottomline: Gordon Gekko is a great movie character. For the sequel to “Wall Street,” we think he should return not only as greedy bastard, but also as a frightening killer as seen in this trailer for “Maul Street.”
