Ricky Gervais. What can you say about him except that he’s funnier than Steve Carell. You know that whole chest waxing scene from “The 40 Year Old Virgin?” Ricky did it years before. Sure, it was his privates and done in his home during his “alone time” without any cameras (that we know of), but still, he did it first. Ricky is also the author of “Flanimals,”a children’s book series and now Universal-based Illumination Entertainment says it will create a 3-D animated feature based on “Flanimals.”
It was already a television series in the UK and here is the funny trailer for “Flanimals.”
Remember, this is supposed to be a children’s book, but some of the characters are created to simply die. It’s never to early to teach kids about death as the Swine Flu will kill them all soon anway. Gervais was on the “Today” show a few years back when Katie Couric was still at NBC in what staffers call “The Dark Years.” Mo Rocca, working as a special correspondent for “Today” at the time before whoring himself to Jay Leno, interviewed Ricky about some of the characters in “Flanimals.”
