New Line is developing “MacGyver” into a feature film. Why now? Could it be because audiences get a kick out of “Saturday Night Live’s” spoof MacGruber character. If you remember “MacGyver,” the show was based on The Professor character from “Gilligan’s Island” who could take several coconuts and bamboo to make a transistor radio.
And in an interesting twist, the spoof “MacGyver” is now being spoofed itself by little kids.
